The 6S jewelry concept

When creating a new piece, Carmen always pays special attention to what she calls the 6S. These are six essential elements which constitute the backbone to her creations:

SHAPE

It is the actual shape of the piece and it sets the tone of the message. If the shape has many lines that intersect with difficult angles the tone can be perceived as stronger even a bit aggressive. Instead if the shapes are more flowy and harmonious, the tone becomes softer and more balanced.

SHADE 

This is the part that speaks directly to the realm of feelings. Carmen believes that colors are a highway to emotion and so they too are very important. In fact she is fascinated by the vast diversity in shades that exists across all gems and metals.

SHINE

This is the way the piece and the stone reflect the light. It becomes especially important when jewelry is worn because it can really impact the overall appearance of a look by brightening it up or dimming it down.

SPICE

It's the little touch of a detail that makes the piece unique while adding a bit of fun and playfulness. A great example is the hexagone cut that Carmen chose for her BeBrave collection. It doesn't necessarily affect the overall appearance, but if you take a closer peek you can definitely see it.

SENSE 

This is the purpose of the jewelry, the message that is enclosed within it.

SPARK/SOUL

It's the evolution of the meaning that takes place when you make it your own and that piece of jewelry really becomes a light, a spark for you.
